Last updated: April 6, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the website operated by the Interdisciplinary Research and Development Organization in Social Sciences, Inc. ("IRDOSS," "we," "us," or "our") at the domain configured for this service (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Description of services
The Site provides general information about IRDOSS, conferences, news, publications listings, and forms to contact us, subscribe to updates, or submit research materials for review. Features may change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Eligibility and accounts
The Site is intended for users who can lawfully enter into contracts in their jurisdiction. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide. We do not require a user account for general browsing; certain actions (e.g. form submissions) require valid contact details you supply voluntarily.
4. Research submissions and content
When you submit a research paper, abstract, or file through our forms, you represent that you have the right to submit the material, that it is not unlawful or infringing, and that it aligns with our stated submission guidelines. You retain ownership of your intellectual property subject to any separate agreement you enter with IRDOSS (e.g. acceptance for proceedings or publication). We may decline, remove, or not display submissions at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for unlawful purposes or to violate others' rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, data, or other users' information.
- Upload malware, scrape the Site in a way that impairs service, or overload our infrastructure.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us or submitting work.
6. IRDOSS content and trademarks
Text, graphics, and layout on the Site (excluding user submissions) are owned by IRDOSS or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The name IRDOSS and related branding may not be used in a way that implies endorsement or partnership without written permission.
7. Third-party services
The Site may rely on third-party infrastructure (for example, hosting or database providers). Those services have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites linked from the Site.
8. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, IRDOSS disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Information on the Site is for general information only and is not professional, legal, or academic advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IRDOSS and its officers, directors, volunteers, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Site shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if no fees applied.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify IRDOSS against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your submissions, or your violation of these terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the Philippines shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction where they cannot be waived.
12. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a revised version on the Site and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Contact
